Contracted Logos

Dec. 2022- Jan. 2023

As I have begun exploring brand design, I have been contracted to create logos for businesses in my area. This work was probono and provided me with the opportunity to put my skills to use for real businesses.

Windswept Farm

Brand Board 1

I provided two brand boards to my client and this was the one they chose. It includes the primary logo, mockups, inspirational images and submark in a pattern format. I also included a cow brand in addition in case they decided to use it for future use. My primary goal for the logo was to keep it masculine and simple. The farm overlooks the smokey mountains so I wanted to include that in some form. The outline of the logo forms a peak, representing a mountaintop and the bottom is the reflection making "Windswept Farm" the interrupter.

Brand Board 2

I wanted to provide another option to my client that included more of the mountain view. This is the exact view that is seen from their front porch. I contrasted the flowy curves of the mountain with a box to maintain the masculine feel and altered the opacity of the mountain's colors to add depth. I kept the same cow brand and overall brand colors that were depicted in the first brand board but changed the inspirational photos and mockups to better fit the aesthetic.

Graphite & Greenery

Primary Logo

This logo was for a pop-up store located in an antique boutique in Cleveland, Tennessee. The client wanted the name to be "Graphite & Greenery" because he was selling pencil sketches of antique buildings and potted plants. I decided on two fonts that fit well together but depicted the two different aspects of his shop. The greenery was placed to help the flow of the viewer's eye and add a bit of detail to the logo.

Lettermark logo

In addition, I provided a letter mark logo to be used for social media profiles, stickers, packaging, etc. I used the same font as "Greenery" in the logo to make it identifiable and consistent and overlapped the G's to keep it flowy.
